Martinique Public Holiday Observance Rules
1. When a Public Holiday Falls on a Weekend
- If a public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it remains on that date with no substitution. Unlike some countries, there is no policy to move the holiday to the following Monday. Source
2. Working on Public Holidays
- Employees required to work on a public holiday are generally entitled to:
- Their regular pay for the hours worked.
- An additional day off or overtime pay, as stipulated by the employer's policies and national labor laws.
3. Annual Paid Leave
